Immigration Evaluations
As a daughter of immigrants I strive for immigration justice. Through my lived and professional experiences, I am aware that our immigration system as it stands often prevents us from being able to see the true scope of the emotional, psychological, financial and political reasons why a person may have immigrated to the United States. Given this reality my clinical work allows for a greater understanding of immigrants and their immigration stories as well as the hardship experienced in the case of family separation.
I have significant experience, over ten years, conducting psychosocial evaluations and providing expert testimony for immigration proceedings. I have completed over 1000+ high quality and effective evaluations, trained other providers, and supervised many more reports.
In 2023, I began offering formal trainings to other mental health professionals who wish to provide this service.
My experience includes:
Asylum
U-Visas
VAWA
Cancellation of Removal
Hardship Waivers
My services cover the 2-3 hour interview, follow-ups, an extensive written report (15-20 pages), and supportive coordination with attorneys.
I produce high quality and effective evaluations and work collaboratively with attorneys and clients in order to best support their case needs.
Interviews can be conducted in English, Spanish, or with the help of interpreters.
I am currently conducting interviews online only.
Please note that at this time I am prioritizing Asylum, VAWA, and U-Visa cases. I am not currently evaluating for Hardship (marriage), doing detained work, and will not be offering expert testimony for immigration cases.
